Background: Jake
Bugg grew up in the Clifton council estate of Nottingham and started playing
guitar at the age of 12- he refers back to his hometown in his songs such as ‘Two
Fingers’. He plays an acoustic instrument which is a main prop in indie rock
music which he specialises in. By having an artist like Jake Bugg who is
interested in his genre and plays an instrument allows my target audience to
become connected with him. Jake Bugg was chosen by the BBC to showcase on their
"Introducing" stage at the 2011 Glastonbury Festival aged 17, now in
his 20s he still falls into the category of my target audience age, showing
that he has the ability to connect and inspire.
He has
been nominated for 9 awards.
